Description

Pre-Order — ships Mid October.

Say hello to the all new Slackle, Balance Community's aluminum quick pin shackle. A robust, versatile connector with big strength and compatibility across the slackline space. Rated at 60 kN in straight pull and 30 kN in side pull at a weight of 128 grams makes this a great connector to have for most situations.

Built in to this shackle is a parking spot for the quick pin. This allows you to install the quick pin into the side arm while you prepare the rest of your rigging. When you are ready to push the pin in, simply push the button and it slides right into the device. A convenient way to prep your pin install prior to being in a tough rigging spot. The pin still fully comes out of the device, this just offers a nice spot to park the pin while rigging.

The quick pin that comes with the Slackle is fully round and can spin freely.

Room for Days

The Slackle is built with a sizeable bow to allow for tons of space for all your rigging. Fit at least 5 strands of our BC Spanni, or 10 strands of 9mm rope, or just about anything you normally rig with without worry.2

The dimensions of the Jaw make for a perfect mate with many of our other hardware components. It mates perfectly with the MightyLock and 1-inch webbings, sewn loops on both 1-inch and 20mm webbings, our AWL 6 series weblock and all previous series as well. It also works perfectly with the soft release, with high sidewalls to prevent strands from falling off one-another.

Pin Parking Spot

The pin parking spot is a new feature we added to the Slackle to allow for a selective captive pin. If you need to install some gear to the Slackle, but you are in a precarious spot, you can set the Slackle up by parking the pin in its parking spot, which does not allow the pin to fall out without pressing the button. Then slide the gear onto the Slackle, then you can use one finger to push the pin in all the way.

This feature works for both both handed folks. If you need the pin on the left side, simply flip the shackle over. Only one eye of the shackle has the parking spot feature, so orientation of the Slackle matters if you want the parking to happen on a specific side of the Slackle.
